Someone got off on the wrong side of life

February 6, 2010

Yesterday, I was walking down the hallway of my school. It was morning time, and there were a lot of people rushing around trying to get to classes. As I was trying to maneuver through them all, one little kid darted right in front of me, making me take a step back. Before I continue this story, let me explain this: I didn’t even put my foot down when I took a step back. I just brought my right foot behind my left, and balanced it on it’s toes.

So, I moved my foot back, and suddenly I hear this outraged cry from behind me. I turn around and standing there is this lady. I’ve never met her before, and I’m pretty sure she was just a parent coming into school to do something. Anyways, I see that the heel of my shoe lightly touched her black pant leg. I withdrew my foot and looked up at her face. It looked something like this:

I was confused as to why she looked so mad. I mean, I had barely even touched her. I apologized, but then she actually lifted up her leg and started to try and brush what I could only presume she thought was mud and dog crap off of her precious pant leg. “Watch where you’re going!” she yelled at me, before stomping off.
Seriously people, if you get so mad at things you take the time to get upset that someone touched your pant leg, you have a problem. It’s called “i’mnothappyinlifesoidecidetotakeitoutonotherpeople”. I’m no doctor, but what would I prescribe?
